Well I for one hope the show is renewed because the second half of the season was pretty damn good, and everything feels back on track. (I don't mean that in a shipping sense, nor do I think that Ichabod/Abbie is going to be canon, especially not soon. Ichabod has a lot to work through right now.)

Are there annoying Ichabbie fans? Probably. Don't see why that should ruin things for all the other fans.

The second half was way better than the first. I still have to watch the last two episodes but I cheered when Henry got his one heroic moment.

I'm not a Henry fan (despite the actor being magnificent), but I did really enjoy that moment. It impressed and delighted me.

The ending was near perfection. The writers seemed to realize what was wrong with the show and work on fixing that in the second half of the season. I'm going to be disappointed if the show gets canceled after all the work TPTB did to 'fix' it.

And I hope and pray that it gets cancelled. The show has turned into everything it swore it wouldn't - they promised it wouldn't be IchAbbie and that they would stay "just friends", then Tom Mison said that Ichabod was in love with Abbie, which made IchAbbie shippers ecstatic and send nasty tweets to Katia Winter regarding Katrina (whose character was turned from badass witch to "get her out of the way so IchAbbie can happen who cares about her"). Plus the whole Andy debacle (the way he left the show was so narm-y I actually laughed outright), and I give up.

Just because Tom Mison makes some remark about Ichabod loving Abbie does not mean the show has made it canon (Or even will). I suppose you could say since he sees it that way (If he wasn't joking) then it IS canon because that's coming through in his performance, but one of the lead writers has said (recently, even) that Ichabod/Abbie wasn't happening anytime soon, if ever. (Basically Ichabod has a lot of shit to deal with and work through, Ichabod and Abbie wouldn't risk their friendship on a romantic relationship, etc.)

We'll just have to disagree about Katrina being badass, though; the only time she seemed competent to me was when she went evil.

I agree Andy should still be around.

Seconding your Katrina statement. She was a lot more interesting when she had secrets, and most definitely far more interesting when she was walking the line between good and evil (and lbh--her "turning" had a lot less to do with let me be bad just 'cuz and more of a, let me have the chance to do things right, become my own woman, have a chance at being a better mother, who is Katrina Van Tassel? It was time for her to explore that, hell, even exploring her good side (but actually doing so) would have been interesting other than convenient witch who occasionally solves problems with her powers and makes poor attempts to figure out why she's even with her husband anymore (I think she realized Abraham might have been the better choice, sorry Ichabod, love you))

Exactly. Katrina got the short end of the stick in this show.. TPTB never knew what to do with her (she was called a powerful witch again and again and barely given magic to do, kept needing to be rescued, caught up in the boring Crane family drama, etc) and the only time she felt like a reasonably fleshed out character was when she decided to team up with Henry and turn against Ichabod. The actress' work was much better then, too; it's a shame she didn't get the chance to play that Katrina sooner. I actually liked her reasoning, too; after all her concern over Henry it felt realistic that she would try to “do right" by him.

I'm not a fan of Abraham either, but I'll admit, that little scene they had together in the finale was good. If she had lived I think the pairing could've grown on me. (And I do think she had been leaning towards Abraham for a while. She and Ichabod never quite seemed to click.)

Oh man. Dial back the rage. This show is pure Halloween pulp. Getting this mad about it is a bit much.

Yes. I'd far prefer Ichabod and Abbie don't get together romantically anyway (I really like their friend-chemistry), but the show didn't seem to have the slightest idea what to do with Katrina when she was out of Purgatory and spent weeks spinning its wheels.

I like Ichabod and Abbie together, but I'll be fine if they don't become canon. That would probably be for the best, tbh. (Either way the chemistry they have is INSANE, so they'll be fun to watch.)

Yea, poor Katrina. I never liked her much because the show didn't know what to do with her, but she could've been a great character if they had given her earlier development and involved her a bit more heavily in the 'cases'.
