They fired her because she wouldn't respond in fifteen minutes, even when they knew she was not at the computer, and even when they themselves take days to maybe respond.

(Anonymous) 2015-03-06 01:16 am (UTC)(link)The anon above posted a link to Lupa's post, but yeah basically, Mike Michaud threw a hissy fit because Lupa didn't answer in Skype and fired her. There was other stuff too: favoring reviewers over others (Lupa wasn't allowed to advertise her Patreon on the site, but Cinema Snob was), Lupa also mentioned how the people acting in the anniversary movies never got any compensation. It sounded really sucky and left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Those being RapCritic and Todd in the Shadows. I guess I could just bookmark their blip-pages...
Also, I think the people behind channel awesome are getting a bit desperate in regards of lowering viewer-numbers. The Walkers started another new show (see what we really think of movies we've reviewed!), and they're making Nostalgia Critic -movie? Stinks of desperation.
