Text: For months I've been obsessed with this show. I spent nearly every waking minute thinking up scenarios in my head to the point that I really worried about my mental health. Now I've either run out of ideas or I’m in a transition between fandom obsessions because it stopped.
I should be glad about this but instead I feel kind of empty. Apparently I desperately need to use fandom as escapism.

I’m getting sick of behind-the-scenes stuff.

I used to eat it up. Interviews! Special features! Bloopers! Red carpet! Photoshoots! Early drafts! Set design!

But I’m starting to realize it ruins the magic. I like rewatching movies and shows, and when I know too much about the actors, I see them instead of the characters. I get distracted during scenes where I know a line was improvised or someone’s phone went off on set or the actor had a wedgie, whatever. But considering what most fandoms are like, I’m not sure how to avoid all of that.

Plus, by now, most of my favorite things are way past repair.

I really would like to stop going here, I just don't like their policies (esp. the story about firing Lupa (who's stuff I never even watched)) and the general feel of the place anymore. There's still few people who don't have a youtube-account or their own site where I could jump, so I keep coming back.

I don't know if I'm looking forward with dread or glee for this site to crash and burn. (maybe it won't, maybe it'll just dwindle away *shrug*)

I love this series and have tried really hard to like the TV show but she doesn't look anything like the character. Claire is short and curvy with a more hourglass type figure, not tall and skinny and almost flat chested.

I really hate most modern AUs, because I feel that writers always pick wrong jobs for the characters. Aren't they supposed to reflect the canon in some way? I really doubt a middle-aged single father who seems to do odd jobs in the canon would be a male model in modern times. And what's up with all these florists and tattoo artists?

I really hate it when I see an interesting kinkmeme prompt and someone says they'll write something for it, but never actually do.

Not only is it a letdown for the prompter, but if I come along and fill the prompt, I can't help but feel like I'm stepping on the other person's toes, even if they said they'd fill it two years ago and then disappeared.

I know logically that multiple fills are fine and the prompter will be happy to get my fill, but it flits through my mind every time.
