I think that remark is rather insulting to autistic people. Most of those I know display vastly more social insight and understanding than Dawkins.

I'm not seeing what's wrong with anon's comments. They are correct in that many autistic people (myself included) are aware that they have issues with social situations, and they try to account for it. Although, that is a complete aside from the fact that it's fucked up beyond all belief that if someone's an asshole, there's inevitably that one douche that cries, "OBVIOUSLY THEY'RE AUTISTIC!" Annd, I'm gonna stop there because otherwise I'm going to get into my "Stop trying blame assholery on mental illness/neurodivergence" rant.
