I don't like her because I disagree, she is neither funny nor a decent actress. I don't hate her either, though.

I... This sounds awful, but I just look at her and get a reflex-type dislike. It has nothing to do with her relationship status or career choices.

It's been like that since around the time Friends took off, btw.

She's probably nice and sweet for all I know. *shrug* :(

I don't dislike her, but I have a bit of long-term resentment that she seemed to have gotten the most praise of the Friends cast. Regardless of the material they were given, that was a brilliant group of actors, and she was not the best of them. Frankly she was out-acted by 4/6ths of it.

I don't get the hate either. I find her acting rather bland most of the time but she seems like a decent person and the hate she gets is so over the top and ridiculous.

I don't hate her but I don't like her sense of humor and I don't really see anything that special about her as an actress.
I don't understand the whole concept of hating in itself though. It's such a powerful word used too lightly these days.

I'm with the others. I don't hate her, but I found her character on Friends to be really annoying and insufferable, so a bit of that carried over. Plus, I have never really cared for her acting (I really tried; The Good Girl got so much praise) and she just seemed kinda smug in the interviews I read, so I never really have liked her.

I don't hate her either, but I never watched Friends (and got tired of hearing about it after a certain point), so I'm on the fence.

She's a beautiful lady, is probably nice too, so I have no real problem with her...but I don't exactly like her either.

I don't hate her, I just think she's vastly overrated. Also (and this isn't her fault) I'm just sick of hearing about the Brad/Jennier/Angelina love triangle. It's a shitty thing to happen to anyone, no doubt, but it was ten years ago!

I get confused whenever there's some celebrity that we're supposed to collectively hate tbh. Like I just don't care enough to hate on some famous person that I will never likely meet and certainly don't know?

I haven't seen her get a lot of hate (not even in the comments above). I've certainly seen criticism of her acting abilities, and I think that's fair enough. I suspect the dislike may be that someone who is probably marginally talented hit the jackpot because of her personal life and tabloid persona. But that's just the way things are - some people are wildly successful without "deserving" it.

I used to really dislike her for some reason I could never really name. I only ever watched Friends and didn't follow her career or personal life that closely.

A few weeks ago, I started to re-watch Friends and it's weird. She's not the best actress ever, but she's definitely good when given the right material and Rachel is warmer than I remember her being before? Overall, she went from being my second-to-least favorite Friend to being my favorite, if only because she's a lot more consistent over the course of the show and I think Aniston really nails some tricky character development.

That doesn't really answer the secret, but I know what used to be dislike had come around to being something close to appreciation.

I don't hate her, but she gives me vibes like she was the head cheerleader dating the quarterback and little miss perfect all-American girl next door who would have looked down on the nerdy kids. Something out of Mean Girls. But Angelina gives me vibes like she was the hot stoner goth chick who hung out with the nerds and outcasts and stole the quarterback from the snobby cheerleader and HOORAY!

This is totally irrational and fueled by corny teen movies.

Edit: I should probably note the whole Brangelina thing happened while I was a teenager, so totally influenced by that.

IDK, a lot of... women's magazines seem to have this weird hate-on for her.

I don't really get it. It creeps me out because it's specifically directed at her relationship status and lack of children.

Let's see, she's half-Greek, about my age, gets accused of looking fake a lot...
I also didn't have children at the appropriate age. Am I therefore somehow honour-bound to stand up for Jennifer Aniston? I wonder.

Wait, am >I actually Jennifer Aniston? No, wait, that can't be right.

She's all right. Rachel Green was a dippy character, but that's not the same thing. I like some of her movies.

I mostly like Angelina, too, although it seems pretty obvious she and Brad were the "bad guys" in that particular soap opera. But really, it's pretty obvious Brad was working his way up the Hollywood hottie scale.

For myself, I mildly dislike her because she seems incredibly bland, and her acting can be very bland, but I wonder if the people who seem to hate her are those who feel they need to take a side between her and Angelina Jolie - because apparently it's an either/or situation.
