SF with a lesbian couple as the protags? Sold.

And pffft at the trolls. Speaking as someone who genuinely wants to see more queer SFF, thank you for posting the link! :)

It's nice that you're easily pleased, but it's not trolling to slog through the available sample and decide that it's awful. And...it kind of is. Lesbian couple as protags can't rescue this dreck.

Wow. You can tell whether the entirety of a book will be decent based on a few pages you read? Impressive.* Even more impressive is how you're replying to everyone on this thread who responds with any kind of interest mocking them or the book. Do you get paid for this? And if you're the troll who made the Cassie Claire comment, then I kindly invite you to fuck the hell off.

*Even if it does suck, it's my money to choose to spend. Again. Fuck off.

lolwut?

I don't need to drink the whole carton of milk to know it's bad; one swig is more than enough. Similarly, if I read two full chapters of a book and it has yet to reveal a redeeming feature, I've given it as much of a chance as it deserves.

When someone tells me to fuck off, calls me a troll, and advises others to ignore me, it pisses me off, so I continue responding. I have as good a right to voice my opinion of this stuff as you have to gush over it.

It is one thing to reply to Dethtoll's initial post saying that you didn't like the sample and aren't going to buy it. However, that's not what you've done. You are ridiculously invested in bashing the book, bashing people who are interested in the book, bashing Dethtoll for posting about the book, and comparing the author to Cassie Claire, by extension insinuating she's a plagiarist or drama monger. The Asshole song could have been written for you.

Since your dedication to failed trolling is amusing me at this point, I say again: Fuck off. Your move. Troll.

it's probably dethtoll's usual troll.

Oh, I'm sure you're right. Or at least one of them. I think he has multiple at this point. This one particularly annoys me, because Dethtoll didn't do anything beyond mentioning his friend's book to people who might be interested.

Then again, I'm fairly certain that Dethtoll's trolls would find fault with him for breathing at this point. They're a persistent lot.

As I said, I'm not "invested in bashing the book." I'm just pissed off when people tell me to shut up. And do please show me exactly where I "bashed" anyone who was interested in buying the book--or Dethtoll, for that matter. I didn't compare the author to Cassie Clare, either.
