I was in a concert for school. I had a solo, so I had to have a specific microphone. At the rehearsal the night before, there had been a mix-up between me and another girl. So, when we were setting up for the concert, I was so nervous about the mikes getting messed up again that I insisted we switch. Three different people told me everything was fine, but I kept being all "no, we don't have time, just give me your mike, aaaah!".

Yeah, the mikes had been correct. At my solo, just dead air.
