I know fandom has always been kind of shit in how it treats it's fans, but damn. When the hell did fandom become this elitist snob club? Was it always there, just in the shadows? Or did something shift one day and I miss the meeting and subsequent memo?

I never watched this show but this is how I feel about every show ending. I'm never disappointed by it. I don't trust shows to go on for more than 4 seasons or so and stay good and I'd rather have too little that I love watching over and over than too much that's mediocre.

I also gave up on it after season 1, for the same reason :(. That and it wasn't only behind, but the aired it in like two parts despite it being one season.

I really liked it, too.

I've given up on TV since and only watch what the bf can download or what's on his Netflix.

In my experience when a group of friends have a fallout over something so small it's usually a signal of something bigger going on. If the disregarded her feelings like that they probably weren't very good friends in the first place, and similarly it'd be interesting to know why she didn't want them to use her OC, specially if exchanging OCs was a common practice among them.

There's a few writers in my main fandom that are like that. They're praised all over the place, but they just come off so damn smug/condescending that I can't read all of their stuff.
