I think Alabasta was handled better, Vivi has great character development and proves herself to be a good future leader for her people. The whole Dressrosa arc just seems like Oda eventually forgot what he sets out to do and it turns into a mess of characters and story lines. One piece used to be one of the more progressive shounen manga, sure most female characters are drawn sexily but they are badass, have their own story lines and developed nicely (not to mention Mr.2 Bon Kurei. I love him). Now it feels old fashioned next to more recent shounen mangas, which seems to becoming better in the female character aspect (not great though, it's sill shounen manga).

I was surprised by how entertaining Shokugeki no Soma is. The art is very good, all the food orgasm is hilarious. That there are plenty fanservice of guys next to the girls help.

I mostly just read gag manga these days. Next to Soma I love Ansatsu Kyoushitsu. It's fun and teach kids very good life lessons.

Sorry if my reply seems jumbled, for some reason my head feels very disoriented, i just can't seems to put my words straight. Being ESL doesn't help.
