In the Disney movie she is definitely meant to be Native American. And it's mega racist.

While I can see what you're saying, and it is from a child's perspective... that doesn't really make it not offensive. It's not a child producing this show, it's an adult. And frankly, today, kids should be taught not to stereotype (and mock) Native Americans, no matter how fun "Cowboys and Indians" sounds.
