I get that Pearl was probably in love with Rose, but why did they have to add in that whole "I'm always wondering if she can see me through you" stuff. It just makes her overprotectiveness/watching Steven while he sleeps now really creepy, because it's not coming off as motherly anymore. It's coming off as her trying to be with Rose through Steven and...yeah. Her just letting him fall wasn't that helpful either.

I forgot about how she watches him sleep. Am less sad for her and way more creeped out.

I want to like Pearl as much as I like Garnet and Amethyst, but some parts of her still rub me the wrong way. I get that she is the way she is for a reason, and I have sympathy. But it does annoy me that she hasn't apologized for how she acted. I didn't even like that she didn't apologize to Steven for not believing him in the "Warp Tour" episode and getting so angry that she could be wrong about something. Welp, at least Steven Universe so far seems to address the character flaws pretty well.

It wasn't creepy when it was her being overly motherly in an out of touch sort of way. Now that it's because she's obsessing over Rose and not caring about Steven specifically? Extremely creepy.
