I'm sure there are people who reacted like Willow, I'm just indulging in a rare (for me) bit of cynicism by doubting the writers were thinking about it that way. It's great that your friend related to her though. This is why we need lots more queer characters, because things like this aren't really wrong, it's just that there's so much diversity out there.
