Sometimes I am really glad I skipped from season 1 to season 3.

Well, I mean, they sort of have to explain the ending (cough, Sora's interest in fashion)... otherwise they just admit it's a piece of crap and disregard it. Though I think the S2 ending was bad for a number of reasons (everyone gets a Digimon? huh?) I would not have hated the epilogue so much if we'd had some explanation as to why the characters chose the career paths they did.

Though honestly epilogues are, ninety nine times out of a hundred, completely unnecessary, imo. The excitement of wondering what happened to the characters twenty years later is much more exciting than trying to explain everything, logically or otherwise.

Davis had his funny moments, but for the most part I just didn't care about the new kids.

The new kids always stayed the new kids to me; it felt like they never really filled the shoes of the 01 group (excepting TK and Kari).
I'll admit I was a little in love with Ken when I was nine, though.

I know I was watching wrong, but I loathed the new kids for making the original kids appear only in cameos and totallyc hanged.

And then Kari and TK were practically different people too! D:

I mean, yeah, yeah, it's more realistic that way, but I resented that it was a sequel of a show full of characters I adored, which shunted said characters off to the side to introduce Shonen Protagonistus the Third, Genius Misunderstood Loner 2.0 (With Enhanced Graphics!) and "Tee hee I'm so cool look I like sweet food and have purple hair! (And not even the dub can erase my same-sex crush lol)!" girl.

I liked parts of it too, though it always seemed odd to me that the dub didn't come out and say that Matt and Sora are married, when it's obvious that they have two kids together.

I'm not sure how I feel about Tri, considering how long it's been since 02. I wonder why people keep bringing back old things.

Honestly I'm just glad we finally have a recent Digimon series that isn't Xros Wars. Even if Tri is shit I'll still enjoy it more than that season.

I just hope they don't give in to fan pressure and retcon Sorato. Not because I'm attached to it or anything, but because the Taiora whiners were Harmonian tier wanky.

Ahaha... Jesus Christ... I'm not looking forward to it, specially after season 2 where the Adventure cast was shoved into the background and I just didn't like any of the newcomers. Worst of all, when even the newcomers got shoved into the background to let Davis (idk his Japanese name) and the other kid got the spotlight. S2 was a hot mess.

I won't be super upset if they don't though.
