Re: Ships you feel ashamed of liking

I feel a bit weird about shipping Adams/Jefferson from '1776'. Not for any patriotic reasons (I'm not even American), but because a) it's the closest thing to an RPF ship I've ever had, and b) John/Abigail are adorable. It's just that I was watching the movie and the scene on the stairs happened, and it's not fair for them to spring a scene on me where a short firebrand is physically hemmed in by a much taller gentleman and remains defiantly unmoved. Not fair.

a. I'm a big fan of 1776 and I never see people talk about it so high five!

b. yeah I don't really ship anything from it but that scene on the stairs was kinda... (especially the part when they were p much talking about their sexual frustration I mean)

AYRT

I only stumbled across it recently, but I enjoyed the movie a lot. It's not usually my kind of story (I'm not much for either politics or the American War of Independence), but I liked it.

And that scene really does ... It kind of comes out of nowhere. Or my reaction to it definitely did. One moment it's all politics and friendship and revolution and singing, and then bam! Jefferson is pinning Adams in against the banister and I'm wondering what the hell just happened. So not fair ...
