I just caught up on the first three episodes of series three and I was mostly thinking it was a gift for Athelstan/Lagertha shippers because they're stuck together on the farm, and Athelstan's being rejected by the princess (for good reasons) and Lagertha might get bored between visits from the king. The fic writes itself, even if Athelstan has more chemistry with Ragnar.

Nice moment in ep 1 between Athelstan and Ragnar too. Hand holding!

Vikings continues to be intensely watchable and also frustrating. Such meandering storytelling.
