Seriously, it always amazes me when people say "I don't want these two guys to be a couple becasue platonic relationships between men are so rare in the media!" No, no they're not.

Well, it is rare for them to be treated very seriously and to be portrayed as being as central and more important than het romantic bonds at the same time (most portrayals of "epic bromances" or whatever are made to seem funny or goofy - JD/Turk in Scrubs, etc).

But yeah, they're still way more common than male/male gay relationships and female/female platonic friendships.
