Fandom or in general?

I hate when people think disagreeing with someone or finding out someone is wrong somehow voids them of their humanity and they feel they can treat the "wrong" person like shit. And I'm not talking about over issues that are important but over petty things.

This might not be a pet peeve really but I've been wanting to complain about it as I see it online all the time. People get jumped on for saying such innocent things.

Honestly, IMHO even with important issues... I feel like people sometimes forget why others feel as they do. Not everyone's a strawman.

It's definitely worse when it's petty stuff, though.

AYRT I agree, I think people are too quick to jump down other people's throats on important issues as well. It's especially bad online because you never know someone's background and I've even seen a lot of cases (just for example) where there was a language barrier and I don't know why people expect someone who is struggling to even speak a language to be able to always communicate their ideas effectively.

It also tends to just not accomplish anything other then making both sides mad.

This is why I claim I have a separate SJ-tumblr that I don't link to because I want to avoid trolls. It doesn't exist. It's just that I'm an ESL who, while I've been told my English is pretty good, has been misunderstood in the past because of language barriers. INBD to fix grammar or misspellings or explain myself if something's unclear... but if I'm being screamed at my English gets a lot worse and I get stressed out because I can't explain myself properly. Like hell I'm gonna add SJ-stuff on top of it!
