NAYRT -- I think some of it's because most (middle-class, 1st world country) kids don't have any context for that kind of violence. You get older and life happens and suddenly it's not fun anymore because you get that this is shit that actually happens to real people.

I suspect you're right. It's gotten to a point where the news is too dark for me. :/
