I gave up on SFX Magazine after it almalgamted its online site with a gaming site. I kinda regret it, because SFX's paper magazine used to be all kinds of fun and was informative, and that did spill over onto its online presence. On the other hand, it has become a skeevy gamergate site since the switch and I just do not feel safe contributing to a GG site so I can't participate in its reader rewards and comments scene online.

It just boggles my mind that people still insist on being GGers in 2015.

yeah, but still. i didn't think that they'd be so fixated on it for this long. i thought it would be a thing for a month or two and they'd go back to their videogames or something.

Why would they do that when they could be destroying video games for everybody?

because i thought they'd have the attention span of a little kid or something. i misunderstood how long these people could hold a grudge.

It is the only way they can claim any sort of victory, if they destroy the playing field. Then they can sit in the ruins and say that everything was okay (for them) until the girl-cooties came along and started playing, and that if the girls and the faggots and the ladybois had just been content to be treated like shit then gaming would not have been reduced to ruins. Never mind it was their own resistance to being decent human beings that triggered it all, if they can reduce it to before-girls then they can claim some sort of supposed moral-victory.

TL;DR? If they destroy it for everyone else they can play the martyr card.

Can I start a heretical breakaway splinter group of GG that ditches all the sexism and video games journalism stuff, and just wholeheartedly embraces the mission of destroying all video games?
