It can be. I was pretty much "asexual" for a few years (but didn't identify as such) because I was too depressed to actually have room for those feelings. I wasn't really sure what I was (which funnily enough, is probably closest to plain old straight) until like...early 20's?

You don't have to know right now, you don't have to pin it down, and if you do you can still change your mind.
