For years I'd been afraid I was schizophrenic. I've finally been diagnosed as autistic but I fear it was an error, and I'm truly just a sociopath.

Well, if that were true you'd be tumblr royalty, anon. King/Queen Special Snowflake! But seriously, this is real life and a diagnosis that off base is very unlikely. Especially since the symptoms of those three things are fairly distinct.

Sociopathy doesn't involve hallucinations like schizophrenia or other sensory processing issues like autism, though... I could see, maybe, a person with schizophrenia getting mistakenly diagnosed with autism or vice versa, even if it seems unlikely. But sociopathy/anti social personality disorder is really distinct from either, since it mostly affects how you treat other people, not how your brain interacts with the world. Some autistic people have problems with empathy, but usually they don't want to hurt other people, they're just not sure how not to. Sociopaths hurt other people and don't care.
