That show jumped the shark for me when they purposefully killed off Neal to make way for Captain Swan. That ship is shit. srynotsry

(that actor was also significantly more attractive to me than the one who plays Hook)

I actually find Hook's actor attractive and I found Hook amusing as a kind of fail villain but I agree with you so much about Captain Swan. It's one of the dumbest ships of the show and the fact that they're trying to erase everything Hook did and that Emma has so much faith in him makes it seem like they're writing this romance for two completely different characters.


I really liked Neal too, I was not happy when they killed him off.

I came damn close to whimpering and pawing at my computer screen when I saw the actor they'd cast as Hook. Then the character showed up on the show... man, that was the beginning of the end for me. Never hated a fictional character or a ship so much in my life, and like you, I quit watching when Neal was killed off. Neal's actor does nothing for me, but he was one of my favorite characters, along with Belle, Rumple, Henry, Emma, and Mulan. I'm still lurking in the fandom until something else gets my interest like season 1 did, though. Forever bitter that Hook fans bashing Neal's actor on twitter most likely helped ensure he was written off, and that a show that used to put at least as much emphasis on family ties as on couples is now all about "romance" and contrived-as-fuck "plot" twists.

I'm really hoping that with August back now that Hook will be killed eventually by Rumple, considering none of Emma's SO's tend to last long anyways. Though considering they are putting out lot's of merchandise for Hook I sadly doubt it.
