But by the end Lapis decided to fuse with her, if only to take her down. Sure, it was a gross thing to do to order her to fuse, but I sort of feel like taking away Lapis' agency in the situation removes the gravity of her sacrifice. She fused out of hatred for Jasper, and through sheer force of will was able to keep Malachite together while forcing them both into the bottom of the ocean. Imprisoning herself was her decision, and she turned the tables on Jasper magnificently.

The gems are clearly female-coded, present themselves as female and use female pronouns, I honestly don't get why people get their panties in a twist when they're referred to as women. They only reason they were confirmed non-binary is because there is only one gender in their species to begin with.

Rebecca Sugar herself has said that they use feminine pronouns while being sexless.

They use female pronouns, universally. They are genderless rocks but I don't think that's some weird coincidence. Besides, something can be representative without literally being that thing.

Text: I found her incredibly hot.

I love tall women, buff women, and gruff women. Unfortunately, the reasons I found her hot also had to do with how she treated Lapis.

She was a gross villainous asshole with no redeeming qualities, and I’m not super stoked to admit I enjoyed that. Even if it’s fiction, I tend to keep that kind of attraction quiet.
