Of course I don't feel sorry for him! Everyone knows he's a bigoted asshat with a big mouth and he deserved every suspension and reprimand he's ever received. He's a millionaire. E-petitions to the BBC are stupid, he doesn't need his overpaid job or your pity.

I saw a headline a couple days back mentioning something about an argument between him and a higher up over the menu at a hotel. Maybe that's it.

He allegedly either threw a punch or actually punched one of the producer type guys, after yelling at him for not having hot food available at the end of filming one day. Clarkson apparently reported the incident himself.

Hearings started yesterday. I've seen no mention of a timeline, though apparently all three presenters' contracts are up for renewal shortly.

I just hope it's soon.

Are you me, OP, I could've made this same secret. As much as I love Top Gear, I dislike him and honestly, I wouldn't be upset if they fired him. (Which apparently means I'm not a "real" fan.) I won't be that lucky.

I don't watch this show but I sometimes have it on in the background when I need the TV on. I've found him to be a creep ever since they had Amber Heard as a guest in one episode and he kept making creepy comments about some nude scene she'd done in a movie and he kept bringing it up. Not in the least bit surprised this happened.

I don't know anyone who feels sorry for him, but I will say if Top Gear gets cancelled it will be sad for the people whose livelihoods may be destroyed. I know Richard and James should be ok though. Both of them do lots of different projects on the side. If anything, this is a sign something's got to give.

Who do you think is at risk here? Even the people who work behind the scenes will probably just get a job on another show. Disgraceful or not, Top Gear is one of THE top shows in the UK so it looks good on a resume even if Clarkson is sacked and the show ends.
