I think we can now accept that trigger warnings are essentially meaningless. Even when they are technically used correctly, they are still so overly broadly applied as to render them devoid of any actual information.

I still think that post was the death knell for trigger warnings ever being taken seriously again.

And I say that as someone with a very severe anxiety disorder that does have several specific things that set off lengthy panic attacks, but they're such generic and widespread things (usually health-related) that I couldn't ever imagine asking anyone to tag them for me.

the idea of being triggered by space and motion is kind of amazing

i don't think it's exactly what they mean but i just love the idea of demanding a trigger warning for the entirety of spatiotemporal human existence as such
