OP says they want to be "more like" Cartman, not that they want to be "like Cartman". More like, a term of comparison, more like Cartman than they currently are. Not that they want to turn into Cartman.

This lack of basic comprehension skills is concerning.

It's not a reading comprehension issue. If your leading example of a character who has traits you want to emulate is Cartman, then you are either a deeply disturbed individual or surrounded by such horrible people that Cartman looks good by comparison. Either way, I hope you get the help you need.

Pro-tip: wishing you were more like David Koresh or Chairman Mao might also get you side-eyed.

OP isn't saying that they want to emulate Carmtan's traits, OP is lonely

they're not saying "Cartman is rad", they're saying "even Cartman, as awful and annoying and terrible as he is, has more self confidence and self esteem and friends than I do"

Which would still be a sad cry for help, but what they actually said was, "I wish I was more like Cartman." Pick better role models, OP. Verbalizing your desire to be more like a murdering bigot is probably not helping your "no friends" problem.

So it's okay for you to play mind-reader when it comes to claiming that you just know what OP's thought processes may or may not have been when they made the secret, but the second someone makes a counter point to your wildly assumptive argument, you need to shut them down by screaming "pedant!" at them?

How the hell do you manage in the real world when people disagree with you? Do you accuse them of being pedants too?

It's possible that's what they might have meant, but that isn't what they're saying. They're saying a character has traits that even his creators who fucking love him say he doesn't have. They're seeing admirable things they want to emulate in a character whose sole purpose is to be the total antithesis of those admirable things. Cartman isn't meant to be someone you're supposed to want to be like, in any shape or form, and it boggles me how OP can watch him and think a) he possesses the traits they want, or b) that wanting to emulate him is in any way a positive thing for them.
