Nah, they're all sorts of things. I've seen a few theatre things that way-- a British production of Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along; the NPH Company (several years before it aired on PBS), etc. It works like the British National Theatre Live things. Fathom is just a distributor/arranger for these "special event" type screenings.
