I know, but my point was just that fics are put out there so people read them and there's a way to leave comments so people can do exactly that.

It's not comparable to someone seeing someone else playing with their friends in a public park and deciding to say something to them.

I get that. I really agree that EVERYTHING about that class was a badly executed bad idea.

My issue here is the idea of fic archives being a "private space only for an intended audience" and the "only certain people can comment in an specific way".
