I still don't understand why anyone has feelings that strong either positively or negatively about any font. Its a font. Don't like it, don't use it. I don't see why any font is inherently better than any other, and they all have their uses.

When I was 12 and just starting my internet career I too hated comic sans.

Until I realized the only reason I hated it was because I'd been told by the rest of the internet that it was the good and correct thing to hate it, and I had no other legitimate reason to dislike it.

Now it's just any other font. I wouldn't use it to write a paper, but it's not exactly offensive.

comic sans does not have a use, it's a sloppy and terrible reproduction of comic lettering

wild words and digital strip (and DS 2.0) have a use

Its use is whatever someone wants to use it for. Using it doesn't hurt you in any way. It is a font.

Actually, there are studies that Comic Sans is easier for dyslexic people to read. (I can look up cites if needed.)
