What would non-terrible party games fic look like? Do you think everyone is OOC, or what?

There's a difference between straying from canon and being horribly OOC.

That's what I'm guessing. And I can see where OOC-ness would be abound in these sorts of fics.

In my experience, the ooc-ness isn't even the big problem for me, as I just stop reading those fics.

It's more, I don't know, like, the reveals are never as much fun as I feel like they should be, or even if the main characters are in character, the other characters are written badly. I just feel like, even if the trope itself is pretty juvenile, and so I expect the fics to be a bit silly, I wish the writing was a bit more mature.

Which is ridiculous.
