I find them endearing. Granted, it may be because I'm not an EFL and so can't hear how ridiculous they sound.

I'm also a little irked I can't use them with my brOTPs, seeing as there's such a strong association between portmanteaus and romance, but I make up for it by creating brOTP titles.

I admit I probably come off as having no taste. But I really don't get all the hate.

Don't let people say you have no taste for that. It's ridiculous people get so upset over it.
They don't have to use the portmanteau if they don't want to.
