The only place I've ever heard of gay chicken before is the webcomic Manly Guys Doing Manly Things, where it starts as a staring contest between Kratos and Leonidas, and ends up with them roaring at each other in a very manly manner as they buy tea lights and act like an old married (and excessively testosterone-fuelled) couple. So I always thought it was just, you know, a joke. I have no idea if it's ever really existed in the real world.

I might be able to get behind this sort of thing, where it's a joke on the manly stereotypes that make the premise of the game even make sense.
