For some reason the one most on my mind right now is Perdita from the 101 Dalmatians book. I will never forgive the movie for cutting her out (and giving her name that she loved to Missus!). She's just so sweet and I really relate to her anxiety over being useful.

Another one I just thought of is Audrey Hepburn's character in Wait Until Dark. She's trying so hard to stay positive about adjusting to becoming blind and learning the new skills she needs, but I love the moment where her husband pushes her too hard and she snaps "Do I have to be the world's champion blind lady?". She's also really smart and brave and kind.

Wow, I didn't expect to see a post about Perdita. Yeah, Disney cut that story up a bit.

Perdita/Prince, whoo!

Disney fucked up every book that I loved as a kid.

Yay Perdita! We love that she was a liver spotted Dalmatian, some people don't remember they exist.
