Most of them actually. If a character has serious problems, chances are quite good that the rest of the work has deeper problems. There's no point in calling out Tauriel as a bad character in the over-inflated third act when the entire screenplay was an indulgent piece of shit.

See also: Steven Moffat. His characterization of both women and men is thin, inconsistent, and overly reliant on tropes. It's just that there is a wider variety of tropes to choose from when it comes to male characters, so his lack of skill is less obvious.
