Okay, so I don't know the game, BUT what is an "out of game" Stormcloak supporter. I mean, are there Stormcloak supporters in real life who are meeting at a secret club or something? If it's a video game, aren't you always going to be an "in game" supporter?

IDGI.

In-game Stormcloak supporters play as Stormcloak-aligned characters. Out-of-game Stormcloak supporters post apologia for the Stormcloaks in discussions of the game.

Which is not a problem in itself, as long as it's a discussion where that would be appropriate, not, say, "what is the alchemy recipe for Fortify Illusion", or something. The problem is with the arguments they use in doing so.

It's not "problematic" beyond being highly indicative of needing a life. At its core, the Stormcloaks really want independence, and no, that's not weird. Yes, that draws up a lot of xenophobic ideologies from its followers, but they are not peddling the core issue of white supremacy or something crazy like you're trying to make it out to be.

And considering you're implying that you support the other side, when it's pretty much just as bad if we judge it by its supporters' ideologies, I'm not sure what you're trying to prove.

Thank you for a perfect demonstration of the secret's point.

"Your faction has flaws, therefor it is entirely as bad as the faction that is entirely based on racism."

Yeah, that's convincing.

I think the secret refers to people who, like, identify themselves as Stormcloak supporters? Like people refer to themselves as Ravenclaw or Light Side or Paragon or pro-mage in other fandoms. They're not meeting in a secret club, but it's part of their fandom identity and what they tend to support in discussions and meta about the games.
