(Anonymous) 2015-03-23 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)What really made me skeptical of Diana Gabaldson's writing was all of her opinions on Scottish independence, and the way she seems to be such a, err, Scotland fangirl... despite being American herself. idk I don't mean she doesn't have the right to an opinion, and I'm sure she's done a lot of research and all, but the attitude just rubbed me the wrong way.

(Anonymous) 2015-03-23 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)As for opinions on things that don't concern you... this is me just venting. I have an acquaintance from Canada who has a LOT of opinions about American politics. I had to mute her on Facebook because she was just driving me nuts. Her opinions were never going to amount to anything (and she's rather an ignorant woman anyway), and she was never going to change. So I had to by not reading her thoughts any more.
I know... only tangentally related to the actual secret, but thanks for letting me share.

(Anonymous) 2015-03-26 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)Everything on the internet is America-centric, you can't blame people outside the States from having opinions. Especially since America is, well, the most powerful nation on the planet. It absolutely affects us, and Canada, being your closest neighbour, is affected in many ways by American policy and economics.
