Eh, I'm kind of wondering if they just mean starting at a 4 year, bc...yeah. No real reason, and much cheaper to go to a community college [or the equivalent if there is one in a person's respective country].

Unless you plan on eventually applying for a job that will require having a degree from a four year university, which includes most jobs, unfortunately. Not to mention that in the U.S. at least, the job market is still so crappy in a lot of places that if you don't have a degree, you'll still be competing with hordes of people who do.

Don't get me wrong, I happen to agree that a higher education is not always useful and it's not for everyone and that more people should consider a trade school. But let's not pretend that it's no longer a credential you still need to have if you want to be employed.
