Learn to cook. It saves you money, gives you healthier food options and it's a useful adult survival skill no matter how rich or poor you are.

Time value of money

If people treat you like crap, they do not love you. Let me repeat: THEY DO NOT LOVE YOU.

No matter what they say, because professing to care for someone is a lot easier than actually living like you mean it. The number of people who are all like, "Well, my boyfriend says nasty things about my weight and doesn't trust me but he loooooooves me so I have to make this relationship work by being a better person" is just... no. Stop doing this to yourselves, folks.

Don't put twinkies on your pizza.

Live below your means.

Never lease a car.

Unless it's like surgery or something, where that would be bad.

Don't smoke. Your skin and lungs will thank you later.

Allow yourself to break down. Sometimes that's just want you need before you can rise up again and be better than before, even if it's hard getting there.

Travel alone at least once in your life. And I don't mean a weekend trip. Spend a few weeks in another country on your own.

Take some time to just...rest, and take time away from sources of news [including cellphones, email, etc]. It seriously helps wind down stress, and sometimes get perspective on things that sorely need it without.

Also...it *is* okay to say "It's just a game/book/whatever" sometimes when you don't like what's being said about it.

Never underestimate human ingenuity and human stupidity.

If you're feeling embarrassed, remind yourself that most people are too wrapped up in their own lives to care that much about whatever you did wrong and will forget about it long before you do.

This did wonders for my social anxiety.
