You shouldn't feel bad about her husband. In her anti-fanfic screed, she said that she thinks of herself as Claire, her husband as Jamie and their daughter as whatever their daughter was called. So when you write fanfic you're RAPING HER FAMILY!

I'd only read the first book, but it put me off the rest for life. Her Lord John Grey books are somewhat better, probably because Jamie and Claire aren't in them. Though poor John has a terrible crush on Jamie (shock!) which is occasionally mentioned. I hope that John's not based on a family member...

That was freaking HILARIOUS; I may have to go re-read the Fandom Wank.

The fact that she'd actually based a lot of her hero on Jamie McCrimmon from Doctor Who was just a little hypocrisy icing on the batshit cake.

Not only based the character on Jamie McCrimmon, but gave a copy of the book to Frazer Hines and told him about it, poor guy. I wonder how he felt about the rape and whipping scenes?
