1. I'm kind of glad we stopped talking, because I was infatuated with you to an unreasonable extent. If you'd asked it of me, I would have left absolutely everything behind to be with you. I know you didn't feel as strongly about me. There was an admitted small crush, but that was it. And lord, I was tearing myself apart to feel recognized and cherished by you. I don't think I was the only one, either. There was just that something about you, I guess. Still...I miss you sometimes, as a friend.

2. I really want you out of my life. If I don't do things exactly as you think I should, you freak out and guilt-trip me; if I don't speak to you every single day, you freak out and guilt-trip me; if I have other friends besides you you freak out and guilt-trip me; and it's getting to the point that I'm not sure that I care if I hurt you by cutting off all contact. I'm beginning to wonder if it was the same for the last person that "abandoned" you.

3. I wish you hadn't been killed. I wish I knew exactly what happened. I'm still not over losing you, and it's been five years.

4. I don't miss you at all, and I feel like I should. I still see you around town sometimes, but I have no desire whatsoever to acknowledge your existence. Did you really have to flounce so hard when you left?

I have an ex-friend who was exactly like #2. Get rid of them. It may sting at first, but you'll definitely feel freer.
