I dont really think it'd be a big deal? I'm an ace female and I don't really think of any of my same gender crushes any differently than crushes on dudes. Also actually less alarmed by women with crushes on me.

I guess it might have something to do with how little talk there ever was about boys having crushes ever. Aside from my mother teasing me about every single female friend.

It shouldn't be a big deal, but it sort of is.

Times like this I realize we still got a ways to go eh? On the opposite end of the spectrum you've got bisexual or lesbian women apparently just being 'gal pals' when photographed making out with another female. It does seem like it's a little more acceptable for women to be flexible in their sexuality (granted there's still issues with acceptance and objectification and body image)
