I'm not even going to step into the other comments because I don't want to die buuuut...

I totally get feeling moved by this piece. The dude did a great job on this. Too great, actually. I think the only actual problems here are

1.Batgirl's expression - As a superhero, she should be rage faced. She should be defiant and angry and ready to **SPOILER** do to the Joker what Batman did at the end of Killing Joke. Yes, I subscribe to that theory and I love it. Fuck Joker and Fuck Batman's "morals".

2.For the new, cheery Batgirl book aimed at a younger crowd (like it or not) this is inappropriate. If Gail Simone were still writing the book, I'd be okay with this but I'd STILL want Batgirl to not be crying.

And even with all that, I still like this artwork and I would hire the artist to do other covers. He just went too far on this one and pushed some buttons. BRAVO TO HIM for pushing buttons. He just needs to learn what buttons to push and when it's right to push them.
