People sometimes talk about the Aladdin TV series, but I've never heard anyone discuss the Little Mermaid TV series. I remember really liking the episode where Sebastian is kidnapped by a mad scientist who turns crabs into mutant monsters. The scientist's reluctant assistant was an interesting character with a really nice arc.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't think much of that show on rewatch.

There's also the Rescue Rangers, but I'm sure someone must be discussing that show somewhere I haven't seen. Something that popular can't have completely disappeared into the aether.

LOL! I used to watch the Little Mermaid as a kid and the episode you're talking about, I hated. It made me feel so strange and offput as a kid, I think because it's just this kid living alone with an old man who tries to mutate him.

OH SHIT I remember that exact episode! I remember really liking it as kid, I think it was one of those weird things that influenced my own stories later.

I remember the Little Mermaid show! There was the episode where Hans Christian Anderson visited in a submarine and an episode where Ariel made friends with a Deaf mermaid named Gabrielle. And who can forget the wonderful "In Harmony" song?

Ooo, in harmony...HARMONY! You're you, I'm me; together we must live in harmony!
