Is that the real creator of Pac-Man?

I think it's neat. It's kind of a Ghostbusters for a new era (and if it's as good as the trailer, it probably obviates the need for a Ghostbusters remake).

Granted, the male=geek coding does sound like an issue.

Not being snarky but legit asking: ARE there so many female gamers who fall under the label of "middle-aged" that the absence here is shocking?

Part of the reason Ms. Pac-man was created was because there was a fairly large female fanbase for the first game.

So I don't think 1/4 is asking too much.

Op again, also I'd even be okay with just the four guys if there wasn't the wish fullfilment video game girlfriend (and I'd be okay with the wish fulfillment girlfriend if there was a woman on the team)...

Just my two cents, maybe I'm wrong and it'll be amazing... or maybe it'll be good and just not my thing.

Text: I liked the Iwatani scene from the trailer, but the fact that this game seems to be about 3 middle aged gamer guys, with nary a middle aged gamer woman to be seen, and the fact that the viral marketing reveals one of said gamerdude’s game crush is going to be brought to life in an unpixilated fashion makes me side eye this movie so hard. Futurama did it better anyway, Iwatani aside.
