(Anonymous) 2015-03-27 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)It'd help if people were more clear about what this ableism everyone isn't noticing, is. It is never helpful to say "you're ___ but you don't notice" without qualifying it any further or providing examples.
No, it is not OP's responsibility to clarify. They don't -have- to provide examples. But if they don't, and expect any other reaction than "what are you talking about? Examples please?" then I find that irrational.

(Anonymous) 2015-03-27 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)In my experience it makes little difference unless the example is extremely glaring. But I'm avoiding reading comments to that secret exactly because I can imagine what kind of replies it's getting. So I'm glad it's down the bottom out of my eyeline.

My tone regarding the people telling those polite people "get educated about something but I won't tell you what" was clearly disparaging to me, because they are 100% unhelpful. If it wasn't disparaging to you, I'm informing you now that it was supposed to be.
