(Anonymous) 2015-03-27 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)So some disabled people encounter more ableism/disablism than others. Presumably people are also in different fan communities, on different web sites. Hardly cause to call the OP a liar.
I come across more disablism in political discussions than in fandom, but I certainly see plenty in fandom. I don't bother calling it out 90% of the time because I don't have the energy.

(Anonymous) 2015-03-27 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)Also there are many different kinds of disability, some people are sensitive to words like dumb, idiot and retard because they were called them as kids, some are disabled in totally different ways and those words don't bother them.
