Send me out to an event with even one person that I know and I blossom and talk to strangers and play along with the performers, but alone I hide in the backs of crowds and don't know how to respond when people talk to me. I'm hoping that I can gradually improve on that since I'm finally in a job where the work environment doesn't make me feel like talking to people is some horrific punishment, but I'm not really looking forward to spending huge amounts of time and money on an event that I may have to look back on as "well, at least it was a learning experience."
