Yes, I also find people think mania is something closer to hypomania. Which for me, is closer to feeling AWESOME. But hypomania often presents as extreme productivity, and is very different from full-on mania. Even still, I've had some bad hypomanic points, and mixed states... OH GODS the mixed states.

I actually don't mind that it's not shown with pain, always, because for a lot of people, it doesn't present that way. But it'd be nice to see it at least once...

Do, do! It's a good movie that, even if it doesn't click with you in a "this is my experience way" is a good representation that doesn't go the "Secretly has magic abilities because of disorder" route.

I'll admit I'm a tiny bit jealous XD;; I tend to get full on mania, which...well. It feels good from the perspective of "I'M NOT DEPRESSED RIGHT! AWESOME!" but...not so good because I'll end up doing something *knowing* that I probably shouldn't and go "Screw it" and do it anyways.

Ahhh, sorry. I just assumed since I usually see people who mention it basically going "It should be shown with pain since it always hurts!" My bad.
