Thanks to an agreement with hubby where he got to choose the name if it was a boy, and I get to choose the name for a girl, my first born daughter will shortly be called Bernice Surprise, after the best companion The Doctor never had.

Please don't misspell names. Berenice is a nice name, but misspellings will trashify any name and make you look illiterate and downmarket.

NAYRT, but literally every Berince I know spells it like that. I know no one named Berenice.

"Bernice" is a common English spelling.

Whether you like it or not, names have spelling variations. Intentional? It's a spelling variation, not a misspelling.
