Hollywood always puts whoever is popular at the moment in a lot of movies. It's so they can make guaranteed money even if a movie flops.

It sucks in a lot of ways though because it leads to actors and actresses being in roles that really aren't fit for them in the slightest.

I'm actually a little shocked that they let someone take a picture of them kissing like that. I remember when Angelina Jolie's kiss with her brother started a huge kerfluffle.

But all the more power to them (and you, OP!). I really find it in me to get worked up over consensual sibling incest when there are simply way too many other things to worry about, starting with running my own life.

(Written as someone who wouldn't in the least want to get it on with their own siblings though)

You didn't specify the fandom but I can sorta understand. The same thing happened in my fandom circle a couple of years back (don't remember the fandom specifically, we all shared a few, likely anime). Aja led the witch hunt, so this secret and the thing about her a few days ago really brought this back for me.

The case for plagiarism, if I recall correctly, was kind of flimsy, but Aja was so gungho about it (though it wasn't her fic that was supposedly ripped off). It didn't affect me directly but I had mutual friends on both sides of the fight and it was incredibly ugly.

Text: A few days ago, on her blog, one of my favorite authors took a gleeful leap off the deep end of Anarcho-Libertarianism.

Instead I feel like it's a sign that I'm finally losing all of my faith in humanity.

One of the things I always loved about Buffy is how very human she was. She fucked up, she got called out when she messed up, her relationships were messy and were written to be messy. What made Buffy a hero was how she got through it all, even if sometimes she faltered.

More to the point of the secret, I never had a problem with her forgiving Willow or Spike. The writing for a lot of the characters was weird in season 6 anyway.

You’re unhappy with the particular way a celebrity supports or is portrayed to support (note difference between actual manner and how they’re hailed/attacked by the mainstream/SJWs) an SJ cause? Fine!

You want to use this chance to rec people in the same field who aren’t just allies, but members of [group]? Please do!

But I don’t see what greater good comes from turning it into a fecking with-us-or against-us crusade, at the cost of cutting off allies (even potential “better” allies!) and actual [group] people who like or find strength in [people/thing] that has a positive but not 100% comprehensive and ideal message. Pick your battles.
